I Luv The Nitelife Sets 2 Heat Record
Richard and Joann Young's I Luv The Nitelife won the $257,750 Jugette Wednesday at the Delaware County Fair
I Luv The Nitelife used the rail position that she earned in the first heat and controlled the tempo and field in the second heat cruising to a 3 1/2 length victory over Carol's Desire (Matt Kakaley) and Jerseylicious (Corey Callahan) in 1:51 2/5. Combined with her first heat victrory in 1:51 she established a new two heat North American race record of 3:42 2/5.
The Jugette victory was the first for driver Tim Tetrick and trainer Chris Ryder.
The daughter of Rocknroll Hanover has now won 16 of 23 career starts and has earned $1,792,867.
New World Record Set in Buckette; Jugette Undercard
Frau Blucher and Ron Pierce established a new world record in the second division of the $104,388 (div.) Buckette for sophomore filly trotters. Pierce send the heavy favorite after the early lead and set the fractions of :27 4/5, :56 4/5 and 1:24 1/5. The daughter or Broadway Hall used a 29 second final panel to stop the timer in 1:53 1/5.
Coffeecake Hanover (Yannick Gingras) was 5 lengths back in second.

Silver Credit established a new national season's record that lasted about a hour in the first division of the Buckette. Corey Callahan sent the gray filly out of post #1 and controlled the fractions and was aided by a number of breakers to win by 6 1/4 lengths in 1:54 4/5. UF Tadys Donato (Brian Sears) and Andie Sophia (Tim Tetrick) rounded out the top three.
In the $46,744 Standardbred Trot for 2 year-old fillies went to Simply Class (John Campbell ) in a national season's record 1:59. The Chocolatier lass won for the second time in just four seasonal starts for owner/trainer Joe Putnam. Petticoat Affair (Brad Hanners) was second and Dress For Success (Corey Callahan) was third.
Contessa Leigh (3 year-old filly trot) and Final Breath (3 year-old colt trot) completed their Ohio Triple Crown's with victories in the Ohio Breeders Championships.
Contessa Leigh (Chip Noble) defeated Diplomat's Mistress (David Myers) by 5 1/4 lengths in 1:57 2/5. The Full Count lass is owned by G & B Racing and Patricia Wollam and trained by Marty Wollam.
Final Breath used a patient drive from driver/trainer Hugh Beatty to score in 1:58 1/5 over Chet N Spanky (Chris Page). Final Breath was bred by owner Duane M. Lowe.
Earlier this summer the trotters won the Ohio State Fair Stake and Ohio Sire Stakes Championship.
