Twenty-eight 3-year-old colts and geldings, including most of the top 2000 Little Brown Jug hopefuls, will battle in three eliminations of Saturday's $1,150,000 Meadowlands Pace at The Meadowlands.

Nineteen of these sophomore pacers are eligible to the $550,000 Little Brown Jug scheduled for Thursday, September 21 at the Delaware, Ohio County Fair.

For the first time this season most of the division's biggies will be competing against each other in the same event. Among the top 3-year-olds are $1 million North America Cup winner Gallo Blue Chip; 1999 '2-year-old champion' Tyberwood; Metro Final and Breeders Crown elimination winner The Firepan; and three-time 2000 stakes winner Sam Francisco.

The top three finishers in each division plus the fastest fourth place finisher will qualify for next Saturday's #1,150,000 final.

PB Bullville's owner paid a $150,000 supplemental payment to make this colt eligible for the Meadowlands Pace.
