$39,500 Senior Jug
Draws 6 Top Pacers

Delaware, Ohio--Millionaire Day In A Life, second in last Saturday's $600,000 Canadian Pacing Derby, heads a field of six for Sunday's $39,500 Senior Jug, the opening day feature at the Delaware, Ohio County Fair.

Eighteen races have been scheduled for Sunday beginning at 11:45 a.m. The five-day Delaware meeting concludes with Thursday's $550,000-estimated Little Brown Jug three-year-old pacing classic.

Sunday's opening day program also features four $25,308 divisions of the Ohio Breeders Championship 2-year-old filly pace and two $12,900 divisions of the OBC 4&5 year-old trot.

Day In A Life, third to Shady Character in the 1998 Jug, has won $1,706503 during his career. On August 27 he defeated the top pacer Red Bow Tie in 1:49.1.

Cam Knows Best, who was second in the 1998 Little Brown Jug, comes into Sunday's 11th Senior Jug with $580,675 in earings and a 1:49.1 race mark. This 5-year-old has won three of his last four starts at Yonkers Raceway.

Rounding out the Senior Jug field are Quick Draw ($123,312), Zest For Life ($103,817), Teeth Of The Dog ($465,630) and Bolero Master ($320,387).

Its Scooter Time, who won last week's $100,000 Ohio Ssires Stakes Championship at Scioto Downs, is the early favorite in the first division of the $101,232 OBC 2-year-old filly pace. The Tooter Scooter filly has five wins in six starts this year with winnings of $90635.
