John Campbell will be in the sulky for trainer Blair Burgess and owners Brittany Farms, Robert Burgess, Perretti Farms and Karin Olsson-Burgess. Real Desire and Hawaiian Cowboy were supplemented into the Tattersalls at a cost of $25,000 plus $5,000 starting fee. Ranked one-two among the juvenile pacers in 2000, this year the sophomores have not only renewed their rivalry, but they have also etched their place in the record books with some of the most memorable on-track battles the sport has ever witnessed. Add the fact that Bettor's Delight's driver, Mike Lachance, and Real Desire's driver, John Campbell, are the top two money-winning reinsmen ever, and it is easy to see why the rivalry has become so heated this year. In the Jug, raced on September 20 at Delaware, Ohio, Bettor's Delight twice defeated Real Desire. Last week Real Desire won a division of the Bluegrass Stakes in 150.4. Bettor's Delight has not raced since the Jug. The Tattersalls Pace is the centerpiece of Friday's closing day program and is programmed as the 12th and final race on othe Red Mile card.
