October 31st, 2001

Delaware, Ohio--Roger Huston, Hall of Fame announcer at The Meadows and the Little Brown Jug, will have double stent surgery on two of three arteries Wednesday, November 7 at St. Francis Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Huston was hospitalized in late August after suffering chest pains. He
underwent tests which revealed a blockage, prompting doctors to suggest a
triple bypass operation. However, further examinations prompted Huston's
doctors to try less invasive action he has been on a regimen of exercise,
diet and medication.

"My doctors are hopeful that the stent operation, along with my continued
rehabilitation, will be successful," said Huston, who hopes to miss only two
or three nights of racing at The Meadows.
