Meadow Lands, PA.-- Little Brown Jug and The Meadows announcer Roger
Huston will be sidelined for several weeks for medical reasons. The veteran
announcer was taken to Cannonsburg, PA hospital Saturday night after he
complained of chest pains.

After a series of tests on Monday and Tuesday at the Cannonsburg
Hospital, hospital officials decided it would be best to transport the
58-year-old native of Xenia, Ohio to Allegheny General Hospital where he will
undergo bypass surgery.

"My goal is to be back in action by the third week of September," said
Huston. "I plan to call the races at the Delaware, Ohio County Fair."

Huston, who is known for his flamboyant announcing style, called his 33rd
Little Brown Jug in 2000 and has been at The Meadows since 1976. Roger has
also been the announcer at The Red Mile in Lexington, KY and Pompano Park in
Florida.

In 1967 Huston replaced Charlie Hinkle as the announcer for The Little
Brown Jug.

The Delaware, Ohio  Grand Circuit harness meeting begins Saturday
afternoon, September 15 and continues through The Little Brown Jug
Pacing Classic on Thursday, September 20.
