World Champion Hez Striking Wins 
Ohio's Triple Crown At Delaware

    Delaware, Oh--World Champion Hez Striking captured the $90,663 Ohio
Breeders Championship to complete a sweep of Ohio's Triple Crown yesterday
afternoon at the Delaware, Ohio County Fair. The two-year-old trotting
gelding had earlier won the first two legs of the Triple Crown, the $100,000
Ohio Sires Stakes Championship and $30,400 Ohio State Fair.

    Hez Striking, driven by Dave Hawk, scored by a half-length in 1:59.3 over
Freezer Burnt and Lesterstrikesagain. Hez Striking already owns both the
half-mile track world record for a juvenile trotting gelding of 1:58.2 and
the five-eighths mile mark of 1:57.2.

    The son of Striking Sahbra, who is owned by James Glass of Stanford, Ky.,
and Robert Kauffman of Columbus, Ohio, has seven wins in eight career starts
and earnings of $125,475.
Danny Collins is the trainer.

    Two-year-old sons and daughters of Striking Sahbra won four of the five
OBC championships. Besides Hez Striking, Honey Strikes Gold took another colt
division and Sand Ultra Strike and Striking Memory captured 2YO filly
divisions.
