Delaware, Oh--Emotional Rescue equaled the North American
Season's Record of 2:00 flat in winning Tuesday afternoon's
$49,972 Standardbred 2YO Filly Trot by 11 lengths at the
Delaware, Ohio County Fair.

The aptly named filly, whose sire is American Winner, blew
out nine rivals for driver David Palone. Emotional Rescue
surged ahead by six lengths coming out of the first turn
and added to her advantage throughout the mile. The clocking
of 2:00 equaled the fastest mile by a juvenile filly this season
on a half-mile track and was a second off the stakes record.

Emotional Rescue is trained by Bruce Riegle and owned
by London Farms of Lebanon, NJ and Wayne Jacobs of Edison, NJ.
The $24,986 winner's share of the purse pushed the filly's
career winnings to $172,426. The Hanover Shoe Farms-bred filly
has three wins in seven starts including a second place finish
in the $417,000 Merrie Annabelle at The Meadowlands.

Emotional Rescue paid $3.60, 2.10, 2.20; Armbro Wealthy
$3.40, 4.00; and Wac $2.40.
