Monsoon Hall Sets Stakes Record In Winning
$177,304 Max Hempt Memorial at Pocono Downs;
NJ Classic & Prix De Montreal Eliminations Raced

    Monsoon Hall set  a stakes and track record 1:51 in winning the $177,304
Max Hempt Memorial at Pocono Downs. Jack Moiseyev drove the son of Cambest to
a narrow decision over Rounder and Dragondotcom.

    In other action involving Little Brown Jug contenders, Mach Three and

Arts Tribute won $25,000 eliminations of the New Jersey Classic at The
Meadowlands and Henry Clay and Mini Me took $35,000 elims for the Prix De
Montreal.

    The 57th Little Brown Jug will be raced Thursday afternoon, September

19th at the Delaware, Ohio County Fair.

    Monsoon Hall paced his final quarter in ;28.3 seconds in winning for the

second time in five 2002 starts. The colt, owned by Val D'Or Farms and Schoor
Racing Stable, hiked his lifetime bankroll to $376,798.

    Mach Three, who captured the Berry's Creek on May 11, scored an easy

1:52.1 victory over Royal Mattjesty, Cori's Gold, Brad's Gold and Fourstarz
Treasure in the first Classic elim. John Campbell was the winning driver. In
the second elimination, Art's Tribute won in 1:51.1 for David Miller, beating
Mcardle, Million Dollar Cam, Yankee Landa and Soho.

    Henry Clay, piloted by Andy Ray Miller, won his elimination of the Prix

De Montreal in 1:51.3 over Ashlee's Big Guy, Armbro Wave, Canbec Mustang and
Montego Angus. Mini Me and driver David Magee scored in 1:52.1 over  Up Front
Western, Red River Hanover, Five Card Cam and Third Straight.
