Red River Hanover Among Six Jug Eligibles
To Win American-National, Rooney Eliminations

Red River Hanover, Allamerican Ingot and Million Dollar Cam, ranked among
the leading Little Brown Jug contenders,  posted victories in Saturday's
eliminations for the American-National and Art Rooney Memorial. Also, winning
elims, were Jug eligibles Image Of Dawn, Life Is A Cabaret and Brad's Gold.

    The Road to the Little Brown Jug continues next Saturday, July 27, with
the $350,000 Art Rooney Final at Yonkers, $250,000 American-National Final at
Balmoral, $120,000 Pennsylvania Sires Stakes at Pocono Downs, and $50,000 New
York Sires Stakes at Buffalo Raceway.

    Red River Hanover, ranked No. 2 behind Mach Three in last week's rating
of leading Jug hopeful, won his American-National elimination at Balmoral
Park in 1:52. Randall Waples drove the Western Hanover colt to a two length
victory over Mystic Art and Roy Olcott. Mach Three, who won last week's
Meadowlands Pace, won't race again until the Oliver Wendell Holmes on August
3 at The Meadowlands. 

    Brad's Gold defeated Themistokles and Pass Me Not in 1:53.1 and Life Is A
Cabaret won over Star Role and Fox Valley Chris in 1:50.4 in the two other
American-National elims. 

    At Yonkers Raceway Allamerican Ingot took his Rooney elimination  in
1:54.4 by 3 1/2 lengths over Captain Mo and Five Card Cam. Million Dollar Cam
bested Ashlee's Big Guy by three-quarters in 1:54.3 with Thinkative third. 
Image Of Dawn won by a neck over Henry Clay and Monsoon Hall in the third
elimination.
