Delaware, Ohio--Sixteen races are scheduled
Saturday and Sunday
afternoons as the Delaware, Ohio County Fair kicks-off six
days of Grand
Circuit harness racing. First race each day is 12-noon. The
57th Little Brown
Jug is scheduled closing day, Thursday, September 19.
2002 Horse of the Year Bunny Lake and World
Trotting Derby Filly winner
CR Ms American Pie will be in action on Saturday. Bunny Lake
faces six older
mares in the $16,700 Lady Pace and DR Ms American Pie is the
5/2 morning line
favorite in the $96,310 Buckette 3-YO Filly Trot. Sunday's
features are the
$100,000 Ohio Breeders Championship 2-YO Filly Pace; $66,012
Ohio Breeders
3-YO Filly Trot; and five divisions of the Billings Amateur
Driving Series.
More than 400 outlets throughout North
America will be simulcast racing
from Delaware to locations throughout the United States and
Canada. For the
first time Las Vegas will make available simulcasting from
Delaware and will
be linking up with several indian casinos and one location in
Curacao.
Bunny Lake, trained and driven by John
Stark, Jr., has won five of 16
starts this season, has a 2002 mark of 1:49.4, and lifetime
winnings of
$1,788,848. Tupelo Rose N, second choice at 3-1, comes into
Saturday's race
with $141,814 and a 1:51.3 record this season.
Rodney Allen's CR Ms American Pie won the
$110,000 Filly World Trotting
Derby at Du Quoin, Illinois over 7/2 second choice Cartier
Hall.
Final Road To The Jug Odds
The entry box for the $600,000 Little Brown
Jug closes at 10 o'clock
