Delaware, Ohio--The draw for post positions further confused perhaps the
most wide-open Little Brown Jug in many years. Among the seven early
favorites for Thursday’s $618,625  Little Brown Jug, only Allamerican Ingot,
Monsoon Hall, Mystic Art and Million Dollar Cam seemed to benefit from the
draw while Mach Three, Art Major and Soho must overcome extremely poor
starting positions in the 57th renewal of the Triple Crown Classic.

    Thirty colts and geldings were entered for the second richest Little
Brown Jug. Three $74,235 eliminations were drawn. The top three finishers in
each elimination will return in a $334,057 Second Heat. If a different horse
wins the second heat, these four will return for a $61,863 race-off. First
race post time on Thursday is 11 a.m.

    Major stakes winners Mach Three, Art Major, Soho, Mystic Art and Ashlee’s
Big Guy all wound up in the powerful third elimination heat. Meadowlands Pace
champion Mach Three drew post six and Cane Pace winner Art Major landed in
the second tier in post 10. Ashlee’s Big Guy (post 1), Mystic Art (post 2)
and Soho (post 8) also will start in the third elimination.

    All American Ingot, who captured a division of last week’s Simcoe Stakes
in Ontario, received post 2 in the first elimination. Stakes winner Kilowatt
will start from post 5.
   
    Adios winner Million Dollar Cam and Cane Pace runnerup Monsoon Hall are
the early choices in the second elimination. Monsoon Hall has post 3 whlle
Million Dollar Cam will start from post 5.
