Darlane and driver Mark O'Mara scored a big upset in the
$96,310 Buckette on the opening day of the Grand Circuit at
the Delaware County Fairgrounds. The Lindy Lane filly took
advantage of costly breaks by CR Ms American Pie (Rod Allen),
Keystone Vogue (Jeff Fout) and Sadies Chippergirl (Brett
Miller) to score  in 1:57.4. The 37-1 longshot escaped trouble
and nipped the pacesetting Emotional Rescue (Dave Palone) by a
neck. Darlane, owned by Darlene McNulty of Lemont, IL, teamed
up with Emotional Rescue and Sweet Tejas (Sam Noble III) to
create a $2,056 trifecta.

The reigning "Horse of the Year," Bunny Lake (Rod Allen) took
the $16,700 Lady Pace, in honor of Laverne Hill. The four-year-
old Precious Bunny mare was in complete command through
fractions of :27.2, :56, 1:23.3 to score a 4   length victory
over Tupelo Rose N (David Hawk). The final time of 1:52 was a
national season's record and just one second off She's A Great
Lady's track and world record.

Goalfish (Jaqueline Ingrassia) took the late closing event for
three-year-old and up trotters. The 2000 Yonkers Trot champion
took command as the gate's wings folded and cruised to a one
length victory over TGTIF (David Hawk) in 1:56.4. The victory
was the Armbro Goal gelding's third in a row for owners
Jaqueline Ingrassia and the Arden Homestead Stable.

The Grand Circuit meet continues on Sunday with  fifteen races
scheduled with a post time of 12:00 Noon.
