                       1st Jug Elimination
David Miller on AllAmerican Ingot:  I was trying to get out of there quickly,
grab the lead, and then back it down so I’d have something left at the end.
He pushed home pretty good. For the final, it all comes down to the draw.

Jim Campbell, trainer Life Is A Cabaret: Very happy with him. With the 10 hole
you never know how it will play out. GTeorge did a great job with him working
out a good trip. He’s kind of a funny horse, in and out of form all year. If
he gets a good trip he can take advantage of it.

George Brenna, driver Life Is A Cabaret: Had to go three wide on the last
turn to get around horses. It was sooner than I wanted, but they were getting
away from me. I have to make this horse work,

Bob Waxman, owner, Allamerican Ingot: This is a thrill and a half winning a
heat of the Jug. Very few horses can win the Woodrow Wilson at two and then
compete as a 3 year old.We paid $285,000 for him as a yearling. He’s been
peaking last few weeks. He can’t overcome bad luck, if he draws well he can
be as good as any of them. My only other Jug horse, Island Fantasy, finished
third in his elimination and fifth in the 2nd heat in 1999.  (Blissfull Hall
won the jug that year.)

                        2nd elimination heat

Joe Holloway, trainer Three Olives: He went one hell of a trip. He had to
circle everyone to get there. I hope we end up going three heats..He’s the
best if we do.

Bill Robinson, trainer, Million Dollar Cam:  He had a bit of a lung infection
earlier this month, but he trained good coming into this race and raced good
in this race. It takes a real good colt to stay healthy all year. I knew he
was on his game today and I wasn’t worried too much.

Dan Ater, trainer Western Resolve: Just bought him last week. Ist time I’ve
ever had a horse in the Jug. greaest feeling in the world. I think today
we’ll be more aggressive in second heat. I hope we d raw the 9 hole, then we
can go for the big boys.

Jeff Snyder, owner Million Dollar Cam: The horse was just awesome today. He
really dug in in the final quarter. John Campbell said he seems better today
than ever. He goes better second heat.

                        Third elimination heat

John Campbell, driver, Mach Three:  The second quarter (in :28 seconds) was a
nice breather and made him a very difficult horse to beat. Once he made the
front, my whip would have been broken if anyone tried to get around him.
We’re only halfway there. I’d certainly like to draw the rail in the final.

Mike Lachance, driver of Art Major: I was setting about 7th or 8th when
everyone starting running. I lbumped a couple trying to get out. This colt
was parked the whole mile, an unbeliveable trip. I knew I wasn’t going to
catch John at the half. I was concerned if we would get 2nd or 3rd. I think
he’ll do fine in the 2nd heat. He’ll give you all he has.

Joseph Muscara, owner of Mach Three: I think this is a bigger thrill than
winning the Meadowlands Pace. I want to thank   Magid for selling him to me
back in may. He cost a hefty price but has been worth every penny. He has
really brought my family closer together.

                Second Heat

Luc Ouellette, driver of Million Dollar Cam: You all saw what he could do
in the first heat. When he drew the rail for the final, that was the deciding
factor. He’s not a big horse, but he’s so quick and handy.

Dan Ater, trainee of Western Resolve: I’m just tickled to death that I got a
piece of this. He certainly can race with the big boys.

Campbell, driver of Mach Three: He finished back. It was just a rough trip.

Ron Pierce: I think I had the horse that could have won the race. I was
second over at the half an I think if I had taken a chance and sat in he
could have won. He was some kind of good.

George Brennan:I got away 6th or 8th  and end up third on the wood. Everyone
pulled and I wasn’t going to be 4th or 5th over so I just rode the cones. I
was lucky to get room at the end. he paced strong at the wire.

Jeffery Sunder, owner of Million Dollar Cam: This is fantastic. It brings
back memories of Cam’s card Shark when he raced here. I had the 1-9 favorite
before, we had to scratch. i guess this is sweet justice. this has to be one
of the most exciting days of my life. getting the world record and all.I’m
going to fill this jug up with red wine and stop till we finish it.

Bill Robinson: I was pretty sure I was going to win Jug. I had three tops
colts in the race. the elimination heat was a little tougher than I thought.
It took a little out of him, but he always races better the second heat. Luc
said he had a ton of horse at the end of third quarter. This is my
third Jug win this one is great.
