Under My Thumb, taking advantage of a break before the start by heavy favorite Pizza Dolce, won the $101,140 Buckette 3YO Filly Trot during Saturday's opening day program at the Delaware County Fair. The Malabar Man filly won by 3 1/2 lengths in 1:57.1 over Fast Lane K and Medoland Miracle.

"When I saw (Cat) Manzi's filly break before the start, I decided to send my filly down the road. I was able to set my own fractions," said winning driver Dave Palone, who returned to the sulky for the first time after suffering cuts and bruises in an accident Monday night at Lexington's Red Mile.

Under My Thumb is trained by Bruce Riegle whose mother Martha was honored earlier during the race program. The victory was Under My Thumb's third in 13 starts this season and hiked her career bankroll to $142,895.
