Ohio's own No Pan Intended became the seventh Little Brown Jug champion to also win the Breeders Crown 3YO Colt Pace with a 1:50.3 decision in Saturday's $542,500 Breeders Crown at The Meadowlands.

Owned by Bob Glazer's Peter Pan Stables of Pepper Pike, Ohio, No Pan Intended also became the first Triple Crown winner to sweep the Breeders Crown. Other Jug winners to win the Breeders Crown were Armbro Operative, Magical Mike, Life Sign, Beach Towel, Goalie Jeff and Nihilator.

No Pan Intended's Breeders Crown victory may have locked up "Horse of the Year" honors. The Pacific Fella colt won 17 of 21 starts this season and earned $1,581,485. Nine Jug winners have gone on the capture "Horse of the Year" honors in their three-year-old seasons: Good Time, Torpid, Bret Hanover, Keystone Ore, Niatross, Fan Hanover, Nihilator, Beach Towel and Precious Bunny.

No Pan Intended was trained by Ivan Sugg of Deshler, Ohio, and driven by David Miller, a native of Reynoldsburg, Ohio. He was bred in Maryland at Winbak Farms.

Remember the names, I Am A Fool and Modern Art, who finished one-two in the Breeders Crown 2YO Colt Pace. These two colts will be among the challengers for the 59th Little Brown Jug next September 23 at Delaware, Ohio.
