Four Starzzz Shark And Royal Mattjesty Expected To Race In $113,000 Magical Mike At Delaware, Ohio

Delaware, Ohio--Four Starzzz Shark, top rated horse in the weekly Hambletonian-Breeders Crown poll, and 2004 sensation Royal Mattjesty, are headed for a showdown in the $113,000-est. Magical Mike Pace on Jug Day, September 23 at the Delaware, Ohio County Fair.

Four Starzzz Shark won his sixth race in seven 2004 starts last Saturday at The Meadowlands in 1:49.2. Trained by David Sabatelli, the 6-year-old pacer hiked his career earnings to $2,102,267. His next start will be Saturday's William Haughton Memorial elims at The Meadowlands.

Royal Mattjesty, with impressive victories in the Battle Of Lake Erie and War On The Shore, recently pushed his career bankroll to $1,069,672. He also has a race mark of 1:48.4.

The Magical Mike is named for the 1994 Little Brown Jug winner and sponsored by Thomas J. Walsh, Jr., co-owner of the stallion and the Delaware County Fair. Magical Mike, who has sired the sport's all-time richest pacer Gallo Blue Chip (4,236,469, stands at Winbak Farm of New York.


Eternal Camnation Eligible to Lady Pace

Pacing's richest mare Eternal Camnation ($3,568,338) is also expected to race at the Delaware County Fair. The 2000 Jugette queen is eligible to the Lady Pace, set for Delaware's opening day program, Sunday afternoon, September 19.
