Wil Kilburger, publicity director for the Little Brown Jug for many years, died Tuesday at a nursing home in Columbus, Ohio. He was 89.

He was the retired Executive Sports Editor of the Columbus Dispatch and covered harness racing for many years in that capacity.

Kilburger was a World War II veteran and active in many church organizations in the community.

Services will be held at the Egan-Ryan Funeral Home, 403 E. Broad St, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:30 am at Christ The King Church, 2777 E. Livingston Ave. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to St. Raphael's Home for the Aged, 1550 Roxbury Rd. Columbus, OH 43212.
