Announced For 2007
By Tom White
9/21/04
Delaware, OH--The Little Brown jug Society met Tuesday at its annual meeting
and announced future changes in the draw for post positions of their signature
race. Starting in 2007, post positions for the second heat of the Little
Brown Jug will be drawn by lot by connections of horses advancing to the second
heat.
Horses that are first heat (eliminations)
winners will draw among themselves for the right to select first, second and third. Second place finishers will
then draw for the right to pick fourth, fifth and sixth. Third place finishers
then follow suit.
The Jug Society also formed a committee to study the possibility of using a
staggered starting gate at future Grand Circuit meetings, according to LBJ
Society President Tom Thomson.
All officers were re-elected with Tom Thomson president-treasurer; Tom
Wright vice-president; and Dr. Dick Gordin, secretary.
