Charlie Mitchell Dies

Delaware, Ohio--Charles "Charlie" Mitchell, who was known for his company which manufactures high-quality track maintenance harrows, died Tuesday night (Feb. 1) at Grady Memorial Hospital in his hometown of Delaware, Ohio. He was 77.

Mitchell was also a long-time member of the Little Brown Jug Society and the Delaware (Ohio) County Fair Board and was always seen working the track at Delaware during Little Brown Jug week.

Mitchell was diagnosed with cancer more than a year ago and had been moved to a nursing home after breaking his hip just after last year's Jug.

Calling hours will be Friday, Feb. 4 from 5-8 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home, 32 West Winter Street, in Delaware. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at Old Stone Presbyterian Church in Delaware.
