North America Cup Winner Rocknroll Hanover Is 5/2 Favorite In First Little Brown Jug Future Win Wagering

Delaware, OH--North America Cup winner Rocknroll Hanover is the morning line favorite for the Little Brown Jug future wagering which will get underway at noon, Thursday, June 23 at racetracks and internet sites throughout North America and Europe.
Rocknroll Hanover, 5/2 in the morning line, sent his 2005 U.S. earnings to $908,475 with a 1:49.4 victory in Saturday's $1.5-million North America Cup at Woodbine Raceway in Ontario. North America Cup runnerup Stonebridge Regal is 4-1.
Future Jug wagering will be offered for a period of four days, through 11:30 p.m. Sunday, June 26. The future wager allows racing fans to bet early on all three-year-olds who are eligible to the Little Brown Jug. The minimum bet is $2.00 and all future Jug wagers are for "win" only.
Phil Terry, director of marketing for the Delaware County Fair, assembled a team of seven racing analysts who selected the group of 23 colts and geldings. Each colt was then assigned odds based on the selection order. "Rocknroll Hanover was the first choice of each of the experts," reported Terry.
The rest of the three-year-old horses were packaged together into one "field" wager. The field will open at 6-1 odds. Every three-year-old in North America is included in the field because if a colt wins the first leg of the Triple Crown, the Cane Pace on September 5, he can be supplemented into the Little Brown Jug.
There will be three separate betting pools leading up to the September 22nd Little Brown Jug. The second future pool will be the weekend after the Meadowlands Pace (July 21-24) and the third will be the weekend following the Adios Pace (August 18-21). The winner of each pool will be determined by the official first place finisher in the Little Brown Jug.
Among racetracks and internet sites accepting future wagers are Scioto Downs, Northfield Park, The Meadows, Youbet.com, Pompano Park , Plainridge Race Course, Wheeling Downs, Delaware Park, River Downs, Freehold, Winticket.com, Dover Downs, Royal Racing in South Dakota, Newport Grand Jai Lai in Rhode Island, Coer D'Alene Casino and OTB in Idaho, European Wagering Services at Isle of Mann, Ocean Downs, Rosecroft Raceway, Beulah Park and American Tab.
