Delaware, Ohio County Fair To Initiate "Net Pool Pricing" And Accept Wagers From Canada During 2005 Grand Circuit Week

Delaware, OH--The Delaware County Fair, home of the Little Brown Jug, announced today that it will accept wagers from Canada through net pool pricing beginning Sunday, September 18 through Thursday, September 22.
The Ohio State Racing Commission, in a letter dated August 2 to Marketing Director Phil Terry of the Little Brown Jug, stated "The Ohio State Racing Commission grants the Delaware County Fair, on a experimental basis, tentative approval to export your signal for the purpose of common pool wagering utilizing the "net pool pricing calculation method", as adopted by the Association of Racing Commissioners International model rules".
"We are proud of our heritage at the Little Brown Jug and this is just another step in the right direction for the sport of harness racing at the Delaware County Fair," said Terry. "We welcome our friends from Canada al to watch and wager all week long on the best racing in North America."
Jason Settlemoir, Simulcast Coordinator for the Delaware County Fair, noted "please make your tote companies aware of the net pool pricing change as well, so there will be no snags come Little Brown Jug week in September. We want things to move as efficient and as smoothly as possible. Also, it's very exciting that Canada will be able to join us this year in our pools through the Net-Pool Pricing Model. This change marks a beginning of a new era that brings bigger pool sizes to everyone."

as well, so all the red tape is out of the way and we are ready for a great year in Delaware, Ohio" Settlemoir said.
Delaware kicks off Grand Circuit week on Sunday, September 18 at 12:00 p.m. (EDT) and races through Jug Day
Thursday, September 22.
