Near Record 215 Yearlings To Sell Friday at Buckeye Sale

The Buckeye Yearling Sale has a near record 215 yearlings cataloged and a new sales date this year. The 21st annual sale will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 9 in the Gilligan Building South at the Ohio State Fairgrounds.

Among the leading consignors are Clearview Stables, Colonial Farms, Cool Winds Farm, Morrow Lands Farm, Rose Run Farm, Marlin Smith, Spring Haven Farm, Success Acres and Windmill Farms.

All of the top sires in Ohio are well represented including Carry The Message, Chip Chip Hooray, Corleone, Expensive Scooter, Firm Belief, Ilooklikemymom, Live Love Laugh, Master Lavec, Nobleland Sam, On The Attack, Pegasus Spur, Precious Bunny, Sadies Dreamboat, Stand Forever, Superstar Sahbra, Towner's Big Guy and Wndswept Balance.

Dean Beachy is the auctioneer, Carl Becker is the pedigree reader, and Frances White is sale administrator. Herman Brickel is president and general manager, said that parking is available on the roof of the Gilligan Building. Enter at the 17th Avenue Gate, turn to the right at the first street and proceed to the UP ramp.
