Rose Run Hooligan completed his sweep of Ohio’s Triple Crown with a hard-earned 1:59.4 victory in the second division of Monday’s $82,293 Ohio Breeder’s Championship 2YO colt trot at the Delaware, Ohio County Fair.

Earlier this season the Corleone colt captured the Ohio State Fair stake and the Ohio Sires Stakes Championship. Owned and trained by Ronald Dale Randall of Berlin Center, OH, Rose Run Hooligan now has 11 wins in 12 starts and earnings of $130,990.

Rose Run Hooigan, driven by “Chip” Noble, started from post position eight and was hung out the whole mile. Rose Run Hooligan got the lead just past the half and held off Disbedaone by a half-length with Boca Sun third.

Master Begonia, bred, owned, trained and driven by Sherald Haynes of Blissfield, MI, captured the first division of the OBC 2YO colt trot in a national season’s record 2:01.4 for two-year-old geldings.

Following the race, Haynes announced that he was donating 20 per cent ($2,488) of the gelding’s purse winnings to the Pink Ribbon Fund for the Victory Center in Toledo, OH. The Victory Center is a cancer support group.

Master Begonia sat in the two hole behind early leader Strike A Mac until early in the final turn and breezed to a 3 3/4 lengths victory over Delayofgame and Strike A Mac. The Master Lavec filly picked up his fifth career victory and almost doubled her earnings to $26,850.

Master Invader grabbed a quick lead from post two and never looked back to win the third OBC colt division in 2:00.1, a national season’s record for two-year-old trotting geldings. With trainer Dan Daley in the sulky, the son of Master Lavec won by 4 1/2 lengths over Super Rapper and Sunset Gentleman.

Master Invader also picked up his fourth career victory and hiked his bankroll to $68,052 for Florida owners Anne Marie Daley and Robert Pergament.

The outcome of the third division of the $76,653 (div) Ohio Breeders Championship for two-year-old filly trotters may have been decided before the start of the race when the 1-5 bettors choice, Jail House Denise (Brett Miller) ran before the start allowing Buterscotchndaleys (Dan Daley) to grab the early lead and coast to a 2:01 3/5 victory.

The Master Lavec filly crossed the line 3 1/2 lengths clear of Cacamamie (Scott Cox) and Mom’s Prize (Kurt Sugg) for owners Elizbeth A. Chandler and Anne Marie Daley of New York and Florida.

In the second $25,551 division, Lizzie Lavec (Dan O’Mara) inherited the lead just past the half mile station after a break in stride by the heavily favored Buck I St Pat (Brett Miller) and cruised to a 3 length victory over Fresh Honey (Jeff Fout) and Lively Moment (Dan Daley) in a lifetime best 2:03.

The freshman daughter of Master Lavec recorded her third win of the season for Michael Luce of Farwell, Michigan.

The first $25,551 division went to I Like Stephanie (Brett Miller) in 1:59 3/5. The Ilooklikemymom lass went gate to wire to post a 7 ½ length victory over Ily Lavec (Jeff Fout) and Little Old Ladywho (Dan Daley).

I Like Stephanie improved her seasonal earnings to $56,511 for owners Barbara and Dr. William Paull of Powell, Ohio.
