Delaware, Ohio--Early wagering on the Little Brown Jug and Jugette will begin at 12-noon (EST) Thursday, June 24 and continue for four days through Sunday, June 28. For the first time ever, fans will be able to bet on the two Classic races. The minimum wager is $2.00 and is win betting only.

Each Little Brown Jug and Jugette future wagering pool will comprise 24betting interests. These interests will include 23 horses chosen by a panel of racing analysts and handicappers. A 24th wagering interest will be a mutual field that will consist of all other colts and fillies eligible to the Jug and Jugette.

There will be three separate betting pools for the Jug and Jugette in the months leading up to the races with the winner of each pool determined by the official first place finisher in the 2004 Jugette (September 22) and Little Brown Jug (September 23).

Each of the three pools will be open for betting for four days. The first will be the weekend following the North America Cup (June 24-27); the second the weekend after The Meadowlands Pace (July 22-25); and the third will be the weekend of the Cane Pace eliminations (August 26-29). Official fields for both the Jug and Jugette will be released 48 hours before the start of wagering, complete with morning lines.
