| Jug Society Board Member Richard Bump Dies

Delaware, OH--Richard L. Bump, 69, a Standardbred owner and breeder and Little Brown Jug board member since 1988, died early Thursday morning, May 4, at the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus.
Mr. Bump, from Delaware and Union County, was a former U.S. Army reservist who received his bachelor of arts degree in 1958 from Ohio Wesleyan University. He was an avid golfer, especially at Mill Creek Golf Club, Ostrander. He was board secretary for the Delaware County Bank and Trust Company from 1986 to 2000. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Marysville, the Delaware noon Kiwanis Club and the Delaware County Harness Horseman's Association. He was also a volunteer for United Way and the Senior Nutrition Program of Delaware.
Mr. Bump is survived by his wife Laura; a brother Duane; and one sister, Kathleen.
