The Little Brown Jug® Fantasy Stable Contest kicked off this weekend with three eliminations of the $1,500,000 North America Cup at Woodbine. 

The North America Cup is the first of 14 scheduled contest races leading up to and including the September 21 Little Brown Jug®.  Saturday’s North America Cup Final (June 17) is the second scheduled race to be followed by the Hoosier Cup Final on Saturday, June 24 at Hoosier Park.  Jug Fantasy Stable players may activate five horses from their 10-horse stables beginning at 12:01 a.m. Sunday, June 18.

Jugbarn.com lets you choose your own stable of 10 horses, along with two drivers and two trainers to earn points in major races.  The 10 horses you select will comprise your stable.  You will pick five horses from your 10 horse stable to compete in each of the 14 scheduled events. You may use different  sets of horses in each race.  Points are awarded to the top five finishers. 

There is no entry fee to play and prizes will be awarded to the first 50 finishers. The first place prize is a John Deere Buck ATV valued at $7,000 courtesy of John Deere and the U.S. Trotting Association-Harness Tracks of America members benefit program.   Other prizes include a $500 betting voucher, tickets to the 2007 Little Brown Jug®, LCD-HDTV, Mini-DV digital camcorder, DVD recorder and souvenir jackets,  shirts and hats.

Seven of the 10 starters in next Saturday’s North America Cup Final are eligible to the Little Brown Jug®. Feelin Friskie, Doonbeg and Dave Panlone won the three $50,000 eliminations. The top three finishers in each elimination, plus Jereme’s Jet, who was drawn by lot from the three fourth place finishers, will advance to Saturday’s Final.
