Delaware, OH--Despite
finishing fifth in both his elimination and Final of Saturday’s Hoosier Cup,
Western Shore is a heavy favorite in the first of four future wagering pools for
the 2006 Little Brown Jug. Western Shore is 2-1 while Hoosier Park and North
America Cup winner Total Truth is 10-1 following four days of wagering.
The “Field” was second in the early betting, standing at odds of 9-1. The field
includes every three-year-old pacer in North America. Feelin Friskie, second in
the North America Cup Final, is 14-1 and reigning two-year-old champion Jereme’s
Jet is 15-1.
Western Shore is owned by Brittany Farms, Ronald Michelon and the Ervin Miller
Stable and had won three straight races at Canada’s Woodbine prior to his two
fifth place finishes in the Hoosier Cup.
The second of four Future Jug wagering pools will be the weekend after the
Meadowlands Pace (July 20-23). Past performances will be available at all of
the regular sites and on line at www.littlebrownjug.com. The entry box closes
for the Meadowlands Pace eliminations at 9 a.m., Tuesday, July 4.
