26 Little Brown Jug® Eligibles in Four Weekend Stakes

Twenty-six Little Brown Jug
® eligibles will be racing in stakes this weekend at Balmoral Park, Scioto Downs, Pocono Downs and Mohawk Raceway. 

There are two divisions of American-National eliminations on Saturday at Balmoral Park.  Dan Patch champion 2-year-old Jereme’s Jet will be trying for two wins in a row after taking last weekend’s $100,000 Meadowlands Pace Consolation.  Other Jug hopefuls in the two fields ae Ab’s Beach Boy, Armbro Dynamic, Devilfish, Jate Daniel, Joe To Go, Manhardt and Western Shore.  My Boy David, second in the Meadowlands Pace, is also entered and could get into the Jug by supplementing and winning the Cane Pace on September 4 at Freehold.

There are four Jug eligibles in the $42,600 Tompkins-Geers at Scioto Downs.  They are Arts Melody Man, Eagle Real One, Four Star Tommy and Southwind Jason.

Ten colts will compete in three $32,787 divisions of the Pennsylvania Sires Stakes on Saturday at Pocono Downs.  The top Jug contenders who will compete are Sand Gogh, Sandro Hanover, Texas Shootout, True North Hanover and Wiggle Out Of This.  Others are Eckstrom, Ideal Michael, Master The Art, Mighty Young Joe and Pizza’s Western. 

Alastor Hanover, Doonbeg, Eagle Luck and Mr. Feel Good, all top flight stakes winner and Jug eligible, will face-off in two $40,685 eliminations of the Canadian Breeders Championship at Mohawk Raceway in Ontario.
