Future Destiny Faces Eight Fillies
In Wednesday’s $252,000 Jugette at Delaware, OH

DELAWARE, OH--Former heavyweight boxing champion George Foreman could wind up in the winner’s circle during the 2006 Delaware, Ohio County Fair. Foreman is part owner of the filly Future Destiny who will face eight challengers in Wednesday’s $252,000 Jugette 3YO Filly Pace.

Future Destiny will start from the eighth post position while the early favorite Western Gallie will leave from the rail.

“I was hoping for better luck in the draw,” said trainer George Teague, Jr.
“She showed flashes of her old self last week against older mares. She was on the bubble as far as going to the Jugette, but she seems to be coming back to her early season form.”

Future Destiny has won $209,302 this season, most of it from February through May at The Meadowlands.

Foreman shares ownership of Future Destiny with former New York Jets wide receiver Wayne Chrebet, K&R Racing Stable and Teague, Inc.

Eight of the nine fillies who will start in the Jugette are stakes winners this season. Western Gallie captured last Sunday’s $202,000 Nadia Lobell at The Red Mile in 1:51.2 hiking her earnings to $218,450 for the season.

“She’s going to the Jugette ready,” said driver Yannick Gingras. Western Gallie defeated multiple stakes winner My Little Dragon while stablemate, and Jugette entry, Eternity’s Delight finished a close third.

This is the first year since 1979 that the Jugette will be raced in only one division. After the first heat all nine starters will return for a second heat. If another filly wins the second heat, the two heat winners return for a
race-off.
