Adios May Be Best Jug Predictor; 16 Jug Eligibles In Saturday's Race

The Delvin Miller Adios may be the best predictor in handicapping the Little Brown Jug®.  Twelve Jug champions also won the Adios on their way to Delaware, OH.  Last year’s Jug winner, P-Forty Seven, finished second in both his Adios elimination and final.  

Saturday’s $500,000-est Adios at The Meadows drew a field of 21 including 16 three-year-old colts and geldings who are also eligible to race in the Little Brown Jug
® on  September 21.  The post position draw will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday August 8th. There will be three eliminations of seven horses each and the top three finishers in each elim will return for the final.  Colts earn their post position in the final.   

Jug eligible colts who will race in the Adios are Big Tim, Cactus Creek, Dave Panlone, Eagle Real One, Eckstrom, Feelin Friskie, Manhardt, Perfect Union, Sand Gogh, Sandro Hanover, Southwind Jason, Texas Shootout, Total Truth, True North Hanover, Western Ace and Western Guy.

®, with year in parenthesis:  Timesareachanging (2004), Million Dollar Cam (2002), Precious Bunny (1991), Beach Towel (1990), Goalie Jeff (1989), Barberry Spur (1986), Ralph Hanover (1983), Hot Hitter (1979), Armbro Omaha (1974), Strike Out (1972), Most Happy Fella (1970), and Laverne Hanover (1969).  The Adios was first raced in 1967.
