North America Cup Winner Tell All Is 7/2 Morning Line Favorite
In First Little Brown Jug Future Wagering Pool
DELAWARE, OH--Real Desire Stable’s Tell All is the 7/2 morning line favorite in the first of three Little Brown Jug future wagering pools. Tell All won the $1.5-million North
America Cup and was second to Southwind Lynx in the $1-million Meadowlands Pace. Wagering in this first pool will get underway at noon, Thursday, July 19 at racetracks and
internet sites throughout North America and Europe.
Always A Virgin, who won an elimination of the Meadowlands Pace but finished last in the Final, is next at odds of 9/2. Southwind Lynx, who captured both the $1-million
Art Rooney Final and the Meadowlands Pace, is at 6-1 along with Hoosier Cup champion Artriverderci.
Future Jug wagering will be offered for a period of four days through 11:30 p.m. Sunday, July 22. The future wager allows racing fans to bet early on all three-year-olds who
are eligible to the Little Brown Jug. The minimum bet is $2.00 and all future wagers are win betting only.
Complete past performance lines for all Jug eligibles will be available free of charge on the Little Brown Jug official web site by clicking on the Trackmaster logo. Also,
video relay will be available by clicking on the track code and race number of each horse. There are additional fees for the video replays.
Phil Terry, director of marketing for the Delaware County Fair, assembled a team of seven racing analysts and handicappers who selected the group of 23 colts and geldings.
Each colt was then assigned odds based on the selection order. The horses in each of the three future wagering pools will be listed in alphabetical order.
The rest of the three-year-old horses were packaged together into one “field” wager. The field will open at 4-1 odds. Every three-year-old colt in North America is included
in the field because if a colt wins the Cane Pace he can be supplemented into the Little Brown Jug.
The team of experts is Dave Bianconi, Roger Huston, Sam McKee, Paul
Ramlow, Jason Settlemoir, Gordon Waterstone and Jay Wolf.
Tivoli Hanover was among the top 23 selections but he underwent surgery in June and is not included on the list. However, his owners hope he returns to racing in time to
start in the Jug.
There will be three separate future betting pools leading up to the September 20th Little Brown Jug. The second pool will be the weekend after the Adios at The Meadows
(August 16-19) and the third will be during the first four afternoons of racing at the Delaware, OH County Fair (September 16-19). The winner of each pool will be determined
by the official first place finisher in the Little Brown Jug Final.
Mr. Feelgood, who won the 2006 Little Brown Jug, paid $162.80 in the first pool. He paid $5.40 in the Jug Final on Jug Day.
