Tom Thomson Wins 15th Consecutive Term to Delaware County Fair Board;  Kent Hastings Elected President

DELAWARE, OH--W.D. “Tom” Thomson, director of racing for the Delaware, Ohio County Fair, was elected to a 15th consecutive three-year term as a director of the Delaware County Fair Board.   Thomson, who is also president/treasurer of the Little Brown Jug Society, was one of six directors re-elected in a vote of the Delaware County Agricultural Society.

Other directors re-elected were Kent “Chip” Hastings, who was also elected president of the fair board, Phil Terry, marketing director of the fair, Sheldon Ross, H.C. “Chip” Thomson, Hal Chase and  Dan Huffman.  Huffman also was elected vice-president of the fair board.  Tom Wright was reelected treasurer and Gary Must secretary and fair manager. 

The 2008 Delaware County Fair Grand Circuit, featuring the 63rd Little Brown Jug,  will be raced afternoons from Sunday, September 14 through Thursday, September 18.
