Good News Lady Looking For First Win in Jugette

DELAWARE, OH—Will today’s (Wednesday) $300,475 Jugette Filly Pace

be Good News Lady’s break through effort this season?

Good News Lady is winless in 12 starts this season but she has earned $360,885

for Brittany Farms, Val D’Or Farms and Christina Takter.  In fact, in two years she

has banked $592,359 in 24 career starts.

“She’s racing very well…she’s doing very well…but she’s always the bridesmaid.

She’s going to win some time,” says Myron Bell of Brittany Farms.

In her last start, Good News Lady finished third in the $253,400 Nadia Lobell at

Lexington’s Red Mile.  “She started from the No. 10 post position but she had no

chance to make up so much distance,” said trainer Jimmy Takter.  “She’s had

eight seconds and thirds racing against the best fillies in her division.”

Takter added, “She is very versatile.  She can do anything, leave or sit behind.

I don’t know how much speed is inside of her but she can leave the gate good.”

The Jugette will highlight Wednesday’s 19 race card at the Delaware County

Fairgrounds. Post time is 11 a.m.
