Quotes:

First elimination:

Brian Sears—Badlands Nitro:  That horse (Shadow Play) went a tremendous mile.

Pulling from the pocket like he did, that final in 26 was something else.  I gassed

him( Badlands Nitro) a little leaving, but I think he will be OK with the time between

heats..  that was just a huge mile for my horse and Millers.

Paul MacKenzie—Giddy Up Lucky;  big last quarter. He can go in 1:51.  I thought he

was just a little flat, but he raced big.

Second Elimination:

Brian Sears—Rudy Rednose:  Another huge mile. He raced his  eyes out going in 1:50.

It is Delaware so you write the rest of the story.  I’m not sure who I will drive in 2nd heat.

John Campbell—Mystery Chase:  Back to back world records…this is Delaware.  This is a

great day for speed. The track is great.  My horse raced as good s he could with his post

position. Everyone wants rail at Delaware, but only one  can get it.  I am hoping for 9th

post in final.

Third Elimination:

Ron Pierce—Art Official:  (Early break in turn) He hit the turn too fast.  He’s not 100 per

cent today, I have seen him much better. I know he can go faster.  Joe (Seekman) will

get the ripples out back in the barn.

Tim Tetrick—Giddess’s Justin—Just hoping to make the final,

but he’s pretty much been a bridesmaid.

Jody Jamieson—Santanna  Blue Chip—I just needed to get through that first turn, and

once I did get through, I wasn’t going to let anyone else go.  My disappointment was I

thought my horse might finish better than he did.

Final Heat:

Dave Palone—Lonestar Legend--   I had great visions down the backstretch, but at the

last turn David ask his horse, and I was racing for second after that.  I don’t think anybody

was going to beat that horse here  today.

Ron Pierce—I really feel good for everyone associated with Shadow Play. My horse was just

a little off today. I think it would have taken a special horse to beat Shadow Play today.  And

I had trouble with my horse in the turns.
