Burke Trio Headlines the 56th Jugette Field

The Ron Burke trained trio of Loua Dipa (post 3), Sandyboots Yankee (post 2) and I’m A Lou Lou (post 5) lead the field of eight for the $265,000 Jugette Wednesday (Sept. 23) at the Delaware County Fair.

Loua Dipa (Ronnie Wrenn, Jr.) has earned $1.1 million during her career for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi.

The homebred daughter of Sweet Lou has 13 career wins in 21 starts. She missed a portion of the summer due to throat surgery, and qualified on September 15 at The Meadows in 1:51.2.

Stablemate Sandyboots Yankee comes to Delaware on a three-race win streak, including her lifetime best 1:49.4 at The Meadows (Sept. 5) in The Stallion Series Final.

The Always B Miki lass is owned by Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi, Larry Karr and Philip Collura.

I’m A Lou Lou, a Sweet Lou filly, is a half-sister to the 2014 Little Brown Jug champion Limelight Beach.

She has earned $385,887 for the quartet of Burke Racing Stable, Knox Services, Larry Karr and Philip Collura.

The supplemental entry, Vanna By The River drew post 8, but can improve that position as the results of the $25,000 first heat will determine the post positions for the $240,000 final.
